Justin Hughes
Justin Hughes, served as an Army Officer before gaining a degree in physics. He then joined the RAF and was awarded the Wilkinson Sword for Outstanding Leadership during officer training.
For 6 years Justin flew the Tornado F3 and was subsequently selected for the Red Arrows, serving for 3 years on the Team performing over 250 displays worldwide. He was the Deputy Team Leader and Executive Officer.
Mission Excellence is an organisational performance presentation focused on improving clients’ ability to execute. Consultants are predominantly former military fighter pilots including several Red Arrows. Areas of intervention include advanced planning and problem solving, team and leadership development, teamwork in high-risk environments, and achieving continuous improvement , all delivered through consultancy, training programmes, and high-impact interventions for conferences and management meetings.
A routine fighter pilot mission requires a complex combination of intra- and inter-teamworking, together with outstanding leadership and execution. Individual fighter pilots have to deliver their mission whilst coping with almost constant information overload in a hostile operating environment, which is changing at around 600 miles per hour. Failure is not an option; mistakes cost lives.
