Jon Culshaw

Jon Culshaw

Jon is rightly regarded as one of the best impressionists around, and his distinguished career as a comedian has been long and varied.

He is famous for his work on BBC Radio 4 and BBC2′s Dead Ringers, ITV’s 2DTV and his contributions to BBC Radio 1, particularly on The Chris Moyles Show.

After providing a huge range of characters for the renowned Spitting Image series, Jon first hit the world’s headlines when, as part of his wind up calls on Capital Radio’s Steve Penk Show, he rang the switchboard of No. 10 Downing Street as William Hague. His impression was so good, the operator put the call through to Mr Blair himself and the rest is now legend!

Jon has a vast array of celebrity voices at his command. Famous cult impressions include ex-British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Russell Crowe, President George W. Bush, Ozzy Osbourne, Dale Winton, Sir Patrick Moore and Tom Baker.

He has starred in his own television shows, including Alter Ego and The Impressionable Jon Culshaw for ITV1, Jon Culshaw’s Commercial Breakdown and most recently The Impressions Show, with Debra Stephenson, for BBC.

Other television appearances include Comic Relief does Fame Academy, a celebrity edition of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire with John Thomson, Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack with Chris Moyles, Hotel Babylon, Little Britain, The Secret Policeman’s Ball and the BBC documentary series Comedy Map of Britain, to name but a few. He also created the voice for cyborg Piston Pete in the film Agent Crush.
